Velvasoft Deep Pressure Sensory Vest

These vest are designed with a latex free, breathable material. This material has perforations throughout the rubberized layer of fabric, allowing them to “breath” eliminating or at least reducing the problem of over-heating. It should be noted that even though this material allows the skin to breathe, it is still recommended that you periodically check for over-heating or skin irritation.

The Vest is designed to “hug” snuggly to the clients’ body, providing proprioceptive deep pressure feedback, stability and skills, evenly over the chest and waist. Side and shoulder openings allow adjustments in size to meet the needs of the client. The front section comes in a variety of colors and has a 2-inch horizontal separation, allowing for a snug fit along the chest and waist. The back section is a black hook and loop compatible material.

The new “One-Z” product, (sold separately) attaches to a modified vest allowing sensory integration to extend thru the pelvic area. One-Z Sizes correspond to size of the Vest. If the Vest is to be used with the One-Z product; always measure from the shoulder to the bend in the hip, otherwise measure from shoulder to waist or hip depending on the needs of the client. The “One-Z” is designed to attach to the underside front section of a modified Vest, then placed through the pelvic area and attached it to the back. Do not pull this item tight! If you already have a vest and require this modification, please call and make arrangements.

These vest may also be modified to utilize weights either at the shoulders or V shaped channels, front and back. Modification at the shoulders allows the use of our shoulder weight sets. Modification with weight channels at the chest and back allow the use of our Lap Pad weight sets. Charges range depending on the type of modification required. Modifications for Deep Pressure Vests

Note: The measurements stated below illustrate the vest laying flat; there is approximately 2 inches of stretch when worn. Half Size may be ordered when clients measurements fall between two sizes. A significant decrease in size may be obtained by increasing the side and shoulder closures, however if the vest is too large you may not be able to obtain the deep pressure desired when using this vest.

To measure clients for the vest, measure width(W) totally around the chest or tummy, which ever is larger. Measure length (L) from the top of the shoulder to the bend in the hip or bend in the thigh.

**Remember, measure size from shoulder to the top of the pelvic bone to utilize the One-Z product.
