The Velvasoft Discovery Tray promotes multi-sensory exploration for clients with limited use of their hands, providing opportunities for cognitive skill development. The black background combined with brightly colored items may assist eye-hand coordination and motor control. Objects can be secured directly to the material via the hook tape, providing stability and control for individuals with impaired motor skills, allowing them to explore and interact with their environment. Each tray comes complete with several colored and shaped weights, strips of colored hook material, and a few other items to begin your multi-sensory kit.

The Discovery Tray is available in two sizes, child and adult. The surface is padded for comfort and comes with a removable cover for laundering. A 5-inch foam guard may be attached along the edge of the tray to allow extra stability for objects placed on the tray. This guard also serves as an additional visual boarder. A side pocket is also provided and may be attached with straps to the tray providing storage and/or easy access of additional items. Hook and Loop straps allow the trays to be attached to wheelchair armrests, corner tables as well as standard armchairs. T-nuts are embedded in the wood base allowing easy installation of tray attaching systems. E-Z Locking clamps or Top-Drop Clamps may be purchased separately.
