Velvasoft Weighted Lap Pad

The Velvasoft Weighted Lap Pads are designed to hold up to 4 separate weight strips. As with all Velvasoft products, the weight strips are sold separately allowing the therapist to choose the amount of weight to be used with each individual client. Hook and loop closures are located at each end of the Lap Pad to secure the weights. A guide is provided to help place the weight strips within the lap pads. Weight sets consist of four individual strips, filled with STEEL shot and are designed specifically for each size Lap Pad.
Note: We normally recommend 5% of the clients total body weight, however, because all the weight is located on the clients legs, we suggest no more than 2.5 % especially with preschoolers or kindergardeners. As always we recommend that you begin with the smallest amount of weight possible and increased only until the desired effect is achieved.
