Care of Velvasoft Weighted Products
All Velvasoft products are soft, comfortable, highly durable and completely washable. Before washing, remove all weights; secure all Velcro closures to prevent snagging and debris from collecting within the “hook” closure; after continued use, debris that does collect may be removed with a small wire brush. Weights may be wiped off with a damp cloth, avoid soaking them, as the steal shot will begin to rust.

Care of Velvasoft Deep Pressure Products
Velvasoft Deep Pressure products are made with a latex free, breathable material, that is comfortable, highly durable and completely washable, however because the fabric is rubberized, the items must be hung to dry. Before washing, secure all Velcro closures to prevent snagging and debris from collecting within the Velcro.

Choosing the Right Size
All Velvasoft product information sheets give the dimensions of all sizes, however, the design of the products allow a great deal of flexibility in size adjustments. The measurements stated are the widest possible dimensions, and are given to determine the best size for each client, however, greater decreases in size may be obtained with all our products.
Choosing the Right Weight
The suggested weight of 5% for most of our weighted products is based solely on clinicians’ clinical reasoning and is given as a general guideline. Other weight guidelines, suggested within this catalog, are based on feedback from therapist and parents currently using our products. In general, begin with the least amount of weight possible and gradually add weight until you have reach the desired effect.
Choosing the Right Weight Set
All Velvasoft Weight products separate weight sets, or have additional sets available, giving the therapist the greatest flexibility in choosing the weight protocols for each of their clients. We feel that this is one of the most beneficial aspects to our products. It is highly recommended that you begin with the smallest amount of weight possible, especially with preschool or younger children, and increased only until the desired effect is achieved. Clinicians normally recommend 5% of the clients body weight for most weighted products, however, when the weight is concentrated, we recommend 2.5%. 10% of the clients’ weight is normally being used within the wraps and blankets successfully.
Return / Repair Policy
Any item may be returned within the first 30 days if it is determined that it can not be used by the intended client; if possible, the item/s should be returned within the original container and like new condition.
A Return Authorization Number, (RA #), must be obtained prior to any return.
All items are guaranteed for a period of 90 days from date of purchase against manufacturer defects. Extended wear and constant washing may reduce any products efficiency and are not considered a manufacturer defect.
We reserve the right to determine the amount of repair or credit, if any.

All Velvasoft products should be used with the advice or direction of a physician or therapist. There should always be a therapy goal or therapy expectation when using any weighted/pressure sensory integration products. The products should only be worn and /or used while under adult supervision. Therapist or clients should never use the products in a manor not intended.
